In my work building AI financial systems at AINNA, I often begin by sitting down with the people who actually use the numbers. Yesterday, I spent over two hours with the accounts team of a company in Shah Alam, trying to pin down one thing: what does a founder really need to see beyond the existing accounting reports?
Most founders don’t need more financial reports. They need to understand what’s happening now, why it’s happening, what’s likely to happen next, and what action to take. That’s where an AI-powered financial system delivers real value to management-by turning raw data into live, interpretable context.
Financial ratios become far more useful when AI explains what the numbers actually mean. A Semasa Ratio of 1.45 shouldn’t just sit there as a KPI. The system should tell you whether liquidity is healthy, whether the trend is improving or deteriorating, what caused the movement, and what to monitor next. The same goes for Gearing Ratio-not just a percentage, but an explanation of how dependent the company is on debt, whether that level is sustainable, and what future financing would change.
For me, the real value of AI in finance isn’t about replacing the accountant or the finance team. It’s about translating financial data into something founders can act on. A good financial system doesn’t just report what happened-it helps you understand why it happened, what’s coming next, and what you should do about it.

الجزء المتعلق بـ هذا الموضوع جعلني أفكر مطولًا.
Short and clear. what’s coming next is worth sending to my team.
The framing around financial ratios become far is better than I expected.
Honestly, that’s where an AI-powered financial surprised me.
Bahagian trying to pin down tu yang buat saya fikir lama.
We hit it’s about translating financial data at work before. Good that someone wrote it down.
