One thing many people may not know about me is that one of our family's favourite activities is hiking.

Whenever work allows, my wife, children and I head for the mountains. Every hike reminds us that success is never about reaching the summit as quickly as possible. It is about preparation, teamwork, observation, and making good decisions throughout the journey.

As an engineer, I rarely see hiking as just a recreational activity.

Every trail is a living system.

Some people lead.

Some navigate.

Some monitor safety.

Some carry extra supplies.

Everyone has a different responsibility, yet the entire team moves towards the same objective.

Over the years, I realised that the same principle should apply to Artificial Intelligence.

Today, many organisations expect a single AI model to perform every task-from monitoring servers and checking security to generating reports and making decisions.

That is equivalent to asking one hiker to lead the expedition, carry everyone's backpack, monitor the weather, prepare food, and ensure nobody gets lost.

It works...

...until it doesn't.

This observation became one of the inspirations behind our Sistem Berasingan architecture in NeuralOps.

Instead of sending every repetitive task to an LLM, Sistem Berasingan continuously perform operational work independently:

• Pantau cybersecurity events

• Detect abnormal server behaviour

• Watch for DNS anomalies and DDoS indicators

• Track SEO and website health

• Validate system configurations

• Collect evidence and operational metrics

Only when reasoning, judgement or strategic decision-making is required does the AI agen step in.

The result is a more efficient, scalable and resilient architecture-where AI spends its resources thinking instead of repeatedly checking the same things.

Ironically, one of the best lessons I've learned about AI architecture didn't come from a data centre.

It came from the mountains.

Nature has been demonstrating distributed intelligence long before we invented Artificial Intelligence.
